Use windows ReadyBoost to speed up your computer

Random Access Memory in short form RAM is playing a big roll in a computer speed. These are electronic memory and always very faster than magnetic storages. There for computers use RAM to hold data currently on process. So those data can be access very quickly. High RAM capacity increases computer speed as frequently processing data temporary holds by the RAM. If your computer have big RAM, then you can work with several applications simultaneously.

Installing extra RAM card is the most effective way since last few months, to increase performance of a computer. But that was a limited resource as some computers may not exists extra RAM slots on the motherboard. Adding another RAM is cost effective and sometimes may be difficult due to incompatibility.

Windows Vista introduced new solution for this. It is called windows ReadyBoost. It is a new concept in adding memory to the system. You can use USB Flash memory (Pen) as an optional RAM. This will increases the RAM capacity and you can speedup computer or run multiple applications at the same time.

The flash memory device serves as an additional memory cache that is, memory that the computer can access much more quickly than it can access data on the hard drive. It is easy to use and you can also use Secure Digital (SD) memory for this. Windows will check the memory for the speed and you can allocate a space from your memory card and can use the remaining space to save your files.
